Today we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Dianna Roenicke, Mrs. Swain's sister-in-law who has been diagnosed with a rare paralyzing physical ailment. Many of our fellow students have been in fervent prayer for her health. Our journey brought us to Mrs. Roenicke's hospital room at Genesys Hospital. Here we sang and ministered to Dianna and her husband Rick, family members, and hospital staff.
Soon other patients requested us to sing for them. We spent time with a few patients in the Neurotrama ICU singing for them and praying with them. After lunch, we received permission to sing in the front atrium of the hospital. Many people peered over the balconies to hear our songs of Jesus, salvation, and heaven.
Once again we learned that when trying to minister to others, often the roles are reversed and we receive a blessing in return. Mrs. Roenicke gave a wonderful testimony of God's goodness and providential care in her life. Her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has been increased, and in turn her life strengthens those who hear her story. Please continue to pray for Dianna, her continued recovery, and for the family's strength. This is a poem Krystal wrote and read to Dianna at the hospital:
Son-shine
When the clouds engulf the sun,
And dreariness takes hold the day,
My heart sinks low in sorrow;
Heavier burdens on me lay.
I cry out to man for comfort,
Yet in the depths of despair
Not a soul can here me -
There's no one there to care.
Yet some distant hand leads me
Above the shadows high
To show me He was always there,
To count the tears I've cried.
He opens wide my eyes to see.
I'm encased within His hands,
And nothing there can harm me
From this day and barren land.
Jesus, the comfort of my soul,
The only One who satisfies,
Lifts me up from valleys dim,
Drying my tear-stained eyes.
Oh, what a Saviour! What a God,
Who in His glory finds
An eternity of time to spend with me
And in His continence shines.

What a wonderul God we serve! I'm so glad your group is finding the joy of serving Him in out of the way places. Sometimes they are the MOST blessed times! You are in our families' prayers daily!
Krystal,
You are quite the poet! Now, can you set it to music and have a song?
Keep on singing ya'll!

Hello Bro. and Mrs. Swain and girls!
I'm so grateful that the Lord gave you an opportunity to see Diana and those there at the Health Park. We have been praying for her and will continue to do so. You are in my prayers as well. May others see the love of Christ in you and come to know Him in a greater way! I'll keep up with your travels :) Take care.
Love you,
Grace Manning
Thank you all so much for all your prayers for Dianna. We are so thankful for the young ladies that ministered to us in song. It raised all of our spirits. Many of the nurses and staff complimented on the beautiful singing. We have been witnessing to many of them here and expect to see great things happen through our experience here.
Thank you and love in Christ,
Rick and Dianna Roenicke
