Granite City Baptist Church

Pastor Dennis Campbell
St. Cloud, Minnesota
Sunday evening, May 17, 2009

Sunday evening we were part of the service at Granite City Baptist Church in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.  This is the church that one of our schoolmates Bethany Moeller attends. We enjoyed a great time of fellowship with her and her family. Pray for her brother Jonathon as he is praying about coming to Crown next fall.

We arrived at this church a couple hours early to help judge a fine arts competition. There were several different categories including speech, music, and preaching. The young people at this church worked extremely hard in preparation for this big event. All of us thoroughly enjoyed helping with this competition.

Thank you, Pastor Dennis Campbell for allowing us to minister in your church.  Thanks also to the Bungert family, the Moeller family, and Mrs. Nancy for sharing your homes with us.

Hi Mom and Dad! As usual, you seem very busy! Praise the Lord for His blessings upon your travels so far. Loved the picture with you and Aunt Diana, and also the poem that one of your girls wrote. I agree with another blogger... the poem should be set to music! :) School is starting to wind down. I still think that we'll be schooling into the first week of June, maybe part of the second, but we'll be done for sure by VBS - June 14-17. We took off more time this year (Gulf Shores, Dave and Trish, camping) so we're running a little behind, but because we have taken the time off, it doesn't feel like this 2nd semester has gone forever.
The Ladies Luncheon this past Saturday went well. I'd really been praying that God would use it to be more than just a event on the calendar, and I believe He answered that prayer. When you come home, we are going to take you to the place we had the luncheon - The Tin Roof Cafe. The food was awesome! I can't wait to go back! It is a restored old farmhouse, owned by a Christian lady probably my age, maybe a little younger. It's right around the corner from the Apple Barn - very quaint. Joanna said that it reminded her a little of Pride and Country, so we're sure you'll love it!
Love you and miss you!
